
A new service line connecting shopping in the West End into Selkirk Park
Starting July 27, 2026, Selkirk Transit is introducing a new “Summer Express” taking riders on a new quicker route from shopping in the West End into Selkirk Park to enjoy summer to the fullest.
Planning your trip is easy
The Summer Express runs on a quicker 40-minute schedule (20 minutes in each direction) from the West End into Selkirk Park and back.
There are 27 stops along the route. 15 one way and 13 the other.
What are the hours of the Summer Express route?
Buses run the summer express from Monday to Saturday from 11am to 5pm.
There’s currently no service on Sundays or holidays.

Who can ride the Summer Express?
- Anyone who pays a transit fare or presents a valid pass or ticket.
See Fares Here. - We have also introduced “transfers,” which are valid only for transferring between the main line and the summer express line to get you closer to your destination. They are not valid for return trips.
How do I get/use a transfer?
- Ask the driver for a transfer when you get on the bus or just before you get off.
- To use the transfer, present it to the driver as you get on the next bus. Note that transfers are only valid for a transfer between routes.
- Transfers are only available during the timeframe that the summer service is in operation. Transfers will not be handed out throughout the year and are not valid for return trips.
When is the Summer Express available?
- This year, the Summer Express will run from July 27 to August 31.
Why introduce a Summer Express?
Because we want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy Selkirk Park for all it has to offer.
